    5th Regiment of American Marines, Commanded by Col. Logan Feland
    Has had a glorious part in the operations undertaken by the 4th Army in Champagne, October 19, 1918; has participated in the attack on the strongly fortified positions of the Germans between Mont Blanc and the farm , and pushing up to the border of St. Etienne at Arnes, has accomplished an advance of 6 kilometers, has made many thousands prisoners, captured some cannons, some machine-guns, and some material of war.  This attack combined with that of the French divisions has had as a consequence the evacuation of the two banks of the Suippe and of the heights of Notre Dame des Champs.
