exhaustive clean of all the belt grooves / guidance to reduce flutter to a minimum
deep clean of the pinch rollers (change was not required) and soak in rubber conditioner fluid for 24 hours

treating the remote & mic cord with rubber / plastic conditioner to regain flexibility and shine
tape path checked with SONY MC-112C mirror cassette (door disassembled)
speed checked and adjusted TEAC test tape MTT-211NA
demagnetized with TDK HD-30
perfect look and functioning order, if looks and feels that has hardly been used.
tested several hours with various tape types and brands, working perfectly.
