You re bidding on a pre WWI (1913) German Austro-Hungarian Relief Society Badge.
The badge is used and is in good condition with some signs of wear and age (patina).
The front of the badge has the images of Kaiser Wilhelm II of
Germany
and Emperor Franz Joseph of
Austria
.
The backside of the badge is inscribed in German; “Ausgegeben von der Deutschen und Osterreich-Urischen Hilfsgesellschaft,
Chicago
,
USA
”; which translates to; “Presented by the German, Austro-Hungarian Relief Society, Chicago
USA
”.  I assume the badge was
presented to an individual after making a donation or contributing to the society.
