Press the power button and close the lid. The unit will automatically shut off after 10 hours, and then your yogurt will be ready to chill and serve later! This Yogurt Maker comes with a lid and instruction booklet for recipes for nutritious yogurt, healthy smoothies, dressings, and dips. When you're done using the Yogurt Maker, the sides collapse at a height of 3" to store away easily. The thermometer, starter, and glass jars are sold separately. As for maintaining your device, the base is wipe clean only, and the lid is hand wash only.
