ANTIQUE /vintage ICE Skate BUNDLE for DIANE.
Three Pairs of Skates included in this order.
1. Antique Brown Ice Skate Company "The Brownie". Condition is "Used". Turn of the Century.

These antique clamp and key lever ice skates are from the turn of the 19th century. I can not be certain of the date.
They are in excellent condition for their age. My grandfather had a huge ice skate collection and seldom do I come across skates from The Brown Spring Ice Skate company Webster City, Iowa.
I find that these ice skates are unique in a few ways: manufacturer, wind key on the heel plate and the channel on the runner. I have not seen this often in antique ice skates. This hollowing out on the blade runner helps the skate grip the ice. You find this in modern ice skates.
The skates are 12" in length
Approx. 3" at the widest part of the foot plate.
Stamped size 11 and Steel.
I love the patina. The color reminds me of aged pewter.
These skates sculptural in appearance....like art.
