This is an original press photo. Doug Mitchell, left, a Bogalusa High School graduate, helps Charles Windom, 5 years old, center, carry a watermelon to the car as Roy Windom, right, Charles' dad, watches. Mitchell, who raises the watermelons with his cousin, Kevin Lawson, is trying to raise money to attend Louisiana State University. He was selling the melons on E. Boston Street near Clairborne Hill in Covington. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 07-03-1990.
