Soviet and American archeologists worked together in the Aleutian Islands this summer report their findings at a news conference at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. They said they found the first direct evidence that the first Americans came from Siberia. William Laughlin, left, headed the American group and A.P. Okladnokov, the Soviets.
